TRAINING PURPOSE:
1. The system safety engineering and management is intended to describe “how” to set up and implement the safety risk management process.
2. The system safety engineering and management establishes a set of consistent and standardized procedures and analytical tools.
3. The system safety engineering and management is intended for use in support of specific system safety program plans.
4. The system safety engineering and management provides guidance on “how” to perform safety risk management, other questions concerning “when, who, and why” should be addressed through the three types of plans discussed in this document: System Safety Management Plan (SSMP), and a System Safety Program Plan (SSPP), and an Integrated System Safety Program Plan (ISSPP).
5. The system safety engineering and management focuses on “how” to perform safety risk management, while these planning documents describe, the organization’s processes and procedures for implementing system safety.
